Imakatsu Boat Quay – The best Tokatsu in Town

hi everyone,

Imakatsu has opened an outlet in the central area of singapore at the CBD area. This outlet is at 52 Boat Quay, walking distance from Raffles Place Mrt.

Interestingly this outlet is slightly different from the one at star vista. This outlet has some interesting Sake. And more of a chillax and have some bites with friends with sake and food.

it is good to start off with Yuzu Sake.

i would suggest it is nice to catch up in the evening with friends for sake and makan session. Cheers~~~ glad that it is almost the end of 2015.

And starting off with some bites :

Mentaiko fishcake. so yummy πŸ™‚ each of us a bite… i think it is not enough . i can finish all of it by myself. thats the good thing a bout japanese cuisine, always so yummy.

Hmm… if u are a fan of ham. i think this ham is something you would like to order. because unless those thin cut ham, this is like a “luncheon meat version” ham

This got to be my favourite dish. Β you can see my happinese in my face. heehee and this is the sharing portion among us and i greedily ate 2 piece for this πŸ˜› oops heehee

I like this Mentaiko pork katsu because it is so nice and the crispyness is not too thick. and the pork inside is so juicy with a good mix of some fats in it.

i have rarely taste fried food still juicy and tender on the inside so i must say imakatsu chef have really a skilful cuisinary way of their fried food. So far the best i have tried. Β

This Chicken was still juicy inside even though it is deep fried. i think the chef is good at the way he prepare the dish and also the kind of temperature applied.

And some behind the scene , how bloggers work and try to take a nice photo. πŸ™‚ Β Β

Other dishes that we ordered :

The cheese is still soft on the inside. so yummy. notice that the cheese is still so fresh.
Β notice that there is a minced meat and the crispy crust is not too thick. just nice and nicely fried.Β
And we end off with this main dish. for japanese rice lover. this got to be your “thing”! the onsen egg is runny and mixed with the rice it is perfect.

This is the kind of ambience at Boat quay Imakatsu.

i like the ambience with japanese deco. i think this place is good for a chillax with a group of 4-5 friends and if you have alot of friends it might filled up the whole place.

Every dish here is good to order as what i have tried so far and this is not my first time at imakatsu. it is pretty rare to be in a restaurant with all the dish that can be ordered. i would say the chef put alot of dedication in every dish. so it is good to try if you love japanese food.

Food: β˜… β˜… β˜…
Ambience: β˜… β˜… β˜…
Value: β˜… β˜… β˜… β˜…
Service: β˜… β˜… β˜…
