Bonjour! Happy Hump day! What to have for your date? Tired of always the same Japanese cuisine?
Here, introducing a place not new to you, previously at Bukit Pasoh Road, Absinthe French Restaurant has shifted to its current location Boat Quay and it remains one of the top tables for French cuisine in Singapore.
in my personal opinion, I guess the average guy wont really bring a lady to have French cuisine, maybe because it is expensive to them. However, if you are someone who loves French cuisine and looking for a place to dine, here I am going to introduce you a 3 course set.
Bread to start with. Do you know that how good the food will be comes from how nice the bread is. I must say they do serve bread that I love, I ate about 3 slices. The bread is warm and the butter melts and blends so well.
And coming up next Appetizers, Bon appetite!
Seared Hokkaido Scallops, vanilla Beurre Blanc and Frisee
A good start with juicy, tender and sweet scallops. Fresh and just nicely done.
Braised beef cheeks in Red Wine, creamy mash and green beans
This dish make me feel that I a being well-pampered. it is comparable to the one I tasted at ilLido Italian Dining (sentosa) the Beef cheek is nice and soft and the taste burst through every bite. soooo good. You have got to try this dish yourself 🙂
Desserts: Valrhona Chocolate Tart, with Crème Fraiche
A great end with smooth chocolate tart. it is a little bitter because of the a good taste of the dark chocolate, so if you are a fan of dark chocolate like me, this dish is for you.And the crème balance the taste . I guess without the crème is just as good too.
Coffee or Tea served Petits Fours
The ambience was pretty nice and dim lights. Food was really fantastic and every dish was in good portion, not too huge, just nice for a date night. Service was good and the waiter will share what he served , it is definitely value for money if you are into French cuisine. Life is too short, so it’s pretty good to pamper yourself with nice good food 🙂 They also have a wine menu and a selection of wine.

It is a classy venue to bring your business associates for a casual luncheon.
At S$38++/pax, the 3-course set lunch – which features dishes like braised beef cheeks, and homemade Angus beef burger – is a steal. And I definitely want to visit again 🙂
