as you know i love unique things 🙂 and have been looking for food speciality to blog about it. When i am being ask about my favourite cuisine… usually my reply will be unique food. 🙂 Just want to ensure my readers and friends not spending too much on high and prestige food yet not wasting your stomach space. 🙂

Starting from a price of $2.20 … YES it is that affordable.

The original bestselling Cheese Brownie ($2.20 per slice) was so well-received, that Chef Eric built on its popularity to spin off more offerings. Today, the store has an expanded selection of seven varieties including the Mint Cheese Brownie ($2.30 per slice), the Orange Cheese Brownie ($2.80 per slice),


and Chef’s personal favourite, the Crunchy Cheese Brownie ($2.80 per slice). Other non-cheese brownie flavours include Banana Brownie ($2.20 per slice) and Walnut Chocolate Brownie ($2.30 per slice)

And my favourite is mint Brownie… i love how it feels when it melt in the mouth like icecream. it really don’t feel like i am eating brownie… i guess maybe i am a mint person < Grins 🙂 > i love the unique taste 🙂

A hidden gem in our foodie paradise, The Baker’s Story is well-cherished for its signature selection of Cheese Brownies, made to melt in your mouth with rich flavours and moist textures that will leave you craving for more.

The honest-to-goodness creations are a labour of love by Chef and Owner Eric Tan, who spent over six months experimenting with different ingredients and combinations for a one-of-a-kind chocolate brownie he could truly call his own and be proud of, before stumbling upon all the right notes with cream cheese.

After those six months, Chef Eric took a leap of faith to realise a long-time dream of having his own little shop dedicated to making really good cakes, where he could bake to make people happy.  Opening its doors in 2004 at the nondescript Sin Ming Centre, The Baker’s Story grew steadily, winning over customers and amassing a pool of regulars who come by as much as two to three times a week. Prior to carving out his own niche, Eric spent over two decades as a pastry chef in international hotel establishments like Mandarin Oriental and Sheraton Towers, after discovering that baking was his real passion during his time as a culinary student at SHATEC.


“Our Cheese Brownies have a fuller flavour, a velvety smoothness and a richer texture. Everyone loves chocolates, but by adding the cheese, it gives the traditional brownie an interesting twist in terms of taste,” shares Chef Eric, who feels that happy customers are well worth the extra time and effort in whipping up these brownies.

When the proof of the pudding is in the eating, The Baker’s Story sells more than 500 Cheese Brownie cakes (500gm each) in a regular week. During peak seasons, orders easily double with over 1,000 cakes flying off the shelves.
