NEW Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer SPF 15

NEW Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer SPF 15  nourishes, hydrates and protects  all skin types from damaging UV rays

Cetaphil’s newest Daily Facial Moisturizer SPF 15 is a lightweight, fragrance- free, non-irritating moisturizing lotion that provides long-lasting hydration and moderate protection from damaging ultraviolet (UV) rays that cause premature lines and wrinkles.

The moisturizer is specially formulated to be effective, light and silky smooth, making it suitable for use under make-up or after shaving. Its cosmetically elegant, non-comedogenic formulation ensures it is easily absorbed and long-lasting, leaving no greasy feeling on the skin, even in the humid climate.

The dual action of Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer SPF 15 provides exceptional hydration through the moisturizing component, glycerin, whose action is complemented by two emollients, di-isopropyl adipate and cyclomethicone. The emollients and humectants bind moisture to provide long-lasting moisturization.

This helps retain the hydration of the skin’s stratum corneum, the outermost layer of the epidermis, largely responsible for the vital barrier function of the skin. In addition, the moisturizing components may also aid in restoring the integrity of the skin’s natural barrier if it has previously been damaged by the application of topical treatments.

The second action it provides is that of UV protection. The component Parsol® 1789, a patented broad-spectrum UVA-blocking ingredient, offers high protection against UVA (from 320 to 400 nm). Parsol® 1789 works in conjunction with octocrylene, which protects against the entire UVB wavelength (290 to 320 nm), ensuring that the skin is protected against damage from UV radiation daily.

Exposure to the two main types of UV rays, UVA and UVB, are the main causes of damage to the skin caused by exposure to the sun. Everyone is at risk to the effects of UV rays, not only those who are frequently in the sun or outdoors.

Hence it is crucial to protect the skin against damage from UV radiation daily in order to reduce the risk of skin damage, freckling, discoloration and premature aging.

UVA is thought to play an important role in skin aging and wrinkling (photoageing), causing damage to skin cells called keratinocytes in the basal layer of the epidermis. On the other hand, UVB tends to damage the skin’s more superficial epidermal layers, leading to sunburn, and plays a key role in the development of skin cancer. With repeated UV exposures, the skin loses its ability to repair itself and the damage accumulates. Recurrent ultraviolet exposure breaks down collagen, impairs the synthesis of new collagen and also attacks the elastin fibres.

Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer SPF 15 will be suitable for and appreciated by those with sensitive skin as it is a well-tolerated, fragrance-free, and non-irritating moisturizing lotion. It is to be applied daily to the face and neck, away from the eyes.

My Review on NEW Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer SPF 15  :
The Texture is quite thick , however it is non oily and sticky. i have been using for 1 weeks plus , i feel it is v nice on my skin and it does not make my face oil. i pretty like the non-greasy and yet moisturising my face . I particularly love fragrance free product on my face as it will not irritate the skin.

The SPF is juz nice and protect my skin from harmful rays from the sun. It restores and improves my skin’s ability to retain vital moisture. i apply it on my neck and face, using it daily and as a base before my foundation. Recommanded for sensitive skin 🙂

Check it out at all leading watsons and guardian store 🙂  i would love to recommand this product to all my readers. Double Thumbs up! 🙂
